Hands down the best hardware store on Oahu! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great place to buy building materials too! Excellent selection, good prices. Shop at Yamashiro's Building Supply and Ace Hardware for all your hardware, landscaping and building needs.

They have a variety of tools and supplies. If you have an old residence and can't find parts...this is the place to find it. The staff are friendly and very helpful too. It's not a clean place though. Many things seem to have not been handled in awhile as they are dusty or covered with web. I guess that's why you can find old parts there!

My 1st visit: I was in a hurry, service was incredible, immediately directed to items I needed. I was in and out in 10 minutes including mixing of paint. I visit hardware stores frequently and this was definitely above the norm. I will definitely be returning.

A little bit off the beaten path but definitely worth it. Customer service is good. Sells everything from 2×4s to 20lb bags of wild bird feed. Also right next my favorite dealership, King Windward Nissan.

The workers here are fantastic. So helpful and it's so cool to go into a store where they remember your name. They always have the hard to find hardware that I need to fix things in my circa 1953 home. Reasonable prices and on certain days you might also find fresh Kahuku corn available for purchase. Saves the 30 mile drive to get it from the source.

Excellent customer service. Building supply workers are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The cashiers are always courteous and friendly. Just walking to the register I was asked if I needed any assistance. Superior store to buy from. Wear a mask in the store.

I've been shopping at Yamashiro's for 28 years. Patty Yamashiro and her crew are helpful, professional and good-humored. They have fine lumber, great tools, good advice and everything you need to get your project done. It's more than just a hardware store, it's a well-established community resource!

Been going to Yamashiro's since my engineer dad took us as kids. Now, I go for everything I need to clean /repair the family house for my mom. Staff are friendly and helpful, so glad they are an alternate to 'big box' hardware!

These guys are super helpful! I interacted with three different people while I was shopping for two slightly hard to find items. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful and found just what I needed. Highly recommend!
